Spinz raises the betting limit: Up to €3 per spin now available

We have great news for you! As of 1 July 2026, licensed online gambling providers in Germany are allowed to gradually raise the betting limit on slots — and we at Spinz are rolling out this change right away.

What does this mean for you?

If you’re 21 or older, you can now increase your stake on our slots to up to €3 per spin. No separate request is needed — the higher limit is unlocked automatically based on your age.

Players between 18 and 20 will continue to be subject to the 1€ betting limit per spin, as the legislator has set the age threshold for the increase at 21.

Why does the betting limit exist in the first place?

This rule is part of the Interstate Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021), which legalises and regulates online gambling across Germany. Its purpose is player protection: the betting limit is designed to prevent excessively high losses within a short period and to help keep gambling manageable.

Compliance is monitored by LUGAS, the cross-state gambling supervision system. LUGAS records gaming activity in real time and ensures that legal limits — on both stakes and monthly deposits — are respected. As soon as a limit is reached, you’ll be notified directly in your player account. Responsible for issuing licences and enforcing compliance is the GGL, the joint gambling authority of the German federal states.
